1. Estate agronomy and management
Every engagement starts with a Farm Diagnostic. We map blocks, audit varieties and tree ages, take soil and leaf samples, score pests and diseases, review the pruning cycle and labour, and reconcile the estate's cherry records. The result is a costed three-year turnaround plan and a written baseline that all later performance is measured against.
Field presence follows the crop calendar: pruning and change of cycle early in the year, flowering and disease cover through the rains, and harvest supervision and cherry quality control at the end.
After the Diagnostic, estates choose the level of involvement that suits them:
Supervised Turnaround
We set the agronomy programme and supervise the estate team as they carry it out. That covers written nutrition and spray programmes, pruning and stumping, picking discipline, records, worker training, and a monthly report against agreed yield and quality targets.
Managed Production
We take responsibility for delivering the production plan. We hold the agronomy budget, procure inputs, recruit and oversee the resident supervisor, and report to the Board.

2. Director-led advisory
Specialist work, available on its own or alongside an engagement:
- Remote advisory and written second opinions on existing programmes
- Field days on the estate
- Spray programme design and sprayer calibration
- Wet mill audits and harvest quality protocols
- Records, traceability and Coffee Directorate returns
- Readiness for 4C, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade and organic certification
- Soil and leaf analysis interpretation

3. Cooperative development and funding
We prepare Enterprise Development Plans for coffee cooperative societies and help farmer groups find grant and development funding and apply for it. Our recent work includes the EDP for Ngarua Coffee Cooperative Society in Laikipia County, where our Director serves on the Panel of Experts.
4. Inputs and equipment, at cost
We specify the inputs and spraying equipment each programme needs and can source them for you at cost, without mark-up. Since 2014 we have supplied more than 30 farmer cooperatives.
5. Export and trade support
We handle contract drafting and negotiation, sample preparation and cargo readiness for export. We recently coordinated contracting and export preparation for a first trial shipment to Ireland.
